Setting up a research site

We have tried to make this process as easy as possible.

Institutions wishing to set up as research sites will need to complete a generic site-specific information (SSI) form and identify a local principal investigator who will be responsible for the study in their hospital. Your local R&D department will need to engage with the simple study monitoring policy.

Research sites are eligible for support from their local NIHR clinical research network which includes research nurse time to assist with the identification and recruitment of potential participants, venepuncture and completion of the case report form (approximately 2 hours required for each patient recruited).

Patients recruited by research sites will count towards your gastroenterology, rheumatology and renal NIHR CRN patient accrual numbers.

Ask your R&D department to contact Claire Bewshea on 01392 406850, email mailto:Claire.Bewshea@nhs.uk who will help with the next stages.
